Old Season are pleased to announce the following shows:

No Sleep til Dublin
Siege of Limerick

Old Season will play alongside Solstice (UK) and Crossfire (IE) in the Pint Bar on Eden Quay in Dublin 1 on Saturday February 22nd. Doors open at 7pm and entry is €15.

It brings us great pleasure to announce that Old Season are once again ready to hit the stage… The departures of Frank and Doyler were unfortunate but the proud arrival of new bloods Jimmy Kiernan (Guitar) and John Bonham (Vocals) has given the band a fresh approach to our new material. We look forward to seeing you soon

After eight years and two well-received releases, it is with regret that we announce Frank Brennan’s departure from Old Season. We would like to thank Frank for his contribution to the music over the years and we wish him all the very best in the future.
We are now looking for a singer to front our band. Anyone who is interested, please send a representative recording of your singing style and ability to oldseasoninfo@gmail.com
We will accept submissions from all corners of the world.

We will be taking a break from doing any further gigs until 2011. We have been trying to write new material for the past number of months and it is only without distraction from having to fulfill our live appearance obligations that we can fully commit to writing a new album. We already have 4 new songs in the making, and the next time we play live we would hope to be able to include one or two of these in our set.
Many thanks to everyone who has supported us in 2010, whether through attending our live shows, buying our merch or simply through your words of encouragement. We will be back bigger and better next year!
All the very best from everyone at Old Season.

P.S. RIP Jay-Jay Winter from Asomvel who sadly lost his life in a car accident a few days ago. We would like to extend our sincerest condolences to his family, bandmates and friends.

On October 16th, we will share a stage with the incomparable Desaster in Fibber Magee’s on Dublin’s Parnell Street. This German band are widely renowned for their powerhouse live performances so you’d be well advised to attend!
This is a D.O.D. Productions event and the other support on the night will come from the excellent Decayor and Syphor.
The damage is €15 and tickets are available from Sentinel Records (WWW.SENTINELRECORDS.COM)

On Friday 17th September, in association with Sarlacc Promotions, Old Season will join the mighty Asomvel and a host of other excellent bands at the Pint Bar on Eden Quay, Dublin 1. This is essentially a warm-up gig for Dublin Doom Day the very next day. The line up will be as follows:

Asomvel (England)
Old Season (Ireland)
Arkham Witch (England)
Mountain Throne (Germany)
NightBitch (USA)
Council of Tanith (Ireland)
Brains (People’s Republic of Cork)

Tickets €18 from Sentinel Records or directly from Sarlacc Promotions
www.sentinelireland.com

€20 on the door.

On May 16th 2010, the Metal community lost arguably the greatest metal vocalist the world has ever seen. To mark the passing of Ronnie James Dio, Old Season will join Stormzone, Darkest Era, Two Tales Of Woe and Howlin’ Widow in a tribute to the man we all greatly admire, and for a cause well worth supporting – the Marie Curie Cancer Care foundation. Each band will play at least one track from Dio’s extensive back catalogue; the bands are playing pro bono so it’s a right old excuse to tag along and bang your head to some great metal! Details of the gig can be found in the Tour section of our website.

On 12th June next, we will be playing Gully’s Bar in Carlow with Killed In Action and Black Dawn Rising. Admission is a mere €5 so if you’re in the area and would like a good night of Heavy Metal, then you’ve no excuse now really, have you?!

We are working on directly selling the Archaic Creation MP3s on this site but in the meantime, you can purchase the high quality MP3s from CD Baby and iTunes. And of course, you can still order the digipack in the merch section.
